Hermitage La Chapelle, legendary Rhone valley

Its name, Hermitage La Chapelle come from the little chapel "Saint-Christophe" overlooking the terraces and  vineyards along the Rhône.

Its vines, syrah, are 40 to 60 years.

The wine belongs to a very short list of legendary wines : Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Lafite, Yquem and Paul Jaboulet’s La Chapelle… 

Full and generous, silky tannins and a very long finish, this wine pairs nicely with Braised veal sweetbread with morels.
